A new self defence class is starting on February 7th. This class is dedicated to simple, memorable and, most importantly, achievable techniques & drills.
The class is open to men and women over 30. Protect your family, gain confidence, better posture and much more! Contact Mr. Thompson for further details as we only have 10 spaces available.

With a prompt start and an early finish our Spring Cup was a great success. Thank you to all that took part in the events and to the spectators. Also our referees deserve a pat on the back for their good work providing a safe and smooth tournament. Our next interclub tournament will be later this year. (Elite Summer Cup)

Central Elite are proud to introduce 'KickBoxing Elite'. Mr Whitehead, 2nd degree world champion, leads the team.
Our next club grading is in Leamington Spa at Kickboxing Elite, Sunday 18th February.

>> Forthcoming Tae Kwon-Do grading

Sunday December 3rd 2006 (this coming Sunday) is the last Central Elite Tae Know-Do Grading of this year. It starts at 10 a.m. and is being held at Ryton Sports Connexion in Ryton-On-Dunsmore (near Coventry).
NOTE: Please arrive at the venue NO later than 9:45 a.m.

>> NEW Kung Fu classes & forthcoming Open Tae Kwon-Do Championship

October 26th 2006 is the launch evening for our NEW Shaolin Elite Free Style Kung Fu class. Enrollments will take place at 5:45 PM and the class will start at 6:00 PM.

An Open Tae Kwon-Do Championship is being held in Cheltenham on the 19th November and Central Elite will be participating in all events. Note to all members: Your forms for this competition must be handed in to your instructor ASAP. For further details contact Mr Thompson.

Our new full time Dojang and Headquarters is now open. Situated on Quinton Rd in Cheylesmore (Coventry) our new venture offers a fully equipped fight room with changing facilities etc. We also stock all of the latest martial arts equipment and have a Sport Tag flooring system available for demonstration.

>> Arena Cage Warriors

We had a team take part in the Cage Warriors event, at the Coventry Sky Dome, on Saturday 27th May. The evenings main event was full contact fighting interspersed with sparring. We provided the technical sparring section and had two or three fighters in the cage every 2 minutes for an hour. I would like to thank all who took part and the parents & spectators, who cheered us on. Thanks for all your support.

>> Breaking Workshop Huge Success!

On Sunday we held a 'Breaking Workshop' at the SENI 06 Combat Show. Although the workshop room was on the tiny side we managed to squeeze in 27 students from all different styles of martial arts. The workshop was very popular and proved to be hugely successful and I would like to thank all combatants who took part. Our first InterClub Competition was held on Sunday and what a great day it turned out to be for both clubs. With trophy’s being won by each of the clubs through tough and gruelling fights. Well done to all who entered and a special thank you to those who supported.
